On the Metaphysical
If you need something beyond that which we can possibly know, measure, look at, find, test, or experience in the world, then your philosophy is no longer applicable to base reality and requires something indemonstrable and incommensurable. It shows that the world as it is, without adding such a metaphysical realm, is not good enough for you. That says more about your psychology than it does about philosophy.
